Finally.
Before |
After |
We have been in our home for almost 11 years
(a funky somewhat modern 30 year old home)
and in all of those years
I disliked
(hate is such a strong word)
our window seat cushions
and upholstery.
I am not brave enough
but especially
I am not good enough
(really. really.)
to do it myself.
So we went to
phil hansen
Upholstery
in Springville.
He did it for us.
Amazing new couch like cushions.
Brand new soft upholstery.
I went some what generic
and not as light as I originally wanted
(I had to keep in mind
the dogs, cat, children and grandchild
and future grandchildren
etc. etc. etc.).
What a great change!
It'll do.
I may have to re-cover my pillows.
That I can do.

Mama and baby puppy are doing just fine.

1 + 1 = 3
This tiny one was born via c-section Friday morning.
Poor little Mama.
She worked so hard.
But just couldn't do it on her own.
He was one of three.
We are lucky this one made it.
We are so relieved that Mama AND this little guy survived.
What a night!
Humming Bee Designs
Daughter #2,
Child #3 (out of 4)
is one talented young woman
(for the record each of the 4 are very talented
in a myriad of ways.
Just so they know
I think
they are
each talented
in their own way).
Anyway.
She makes her own patterns for darling wallets
(one of her many talents)
and she just started her third blog
(with only one entry,
by the way).
It has a link to her Etsy site.
A couple of the girls at her old work
(just a couple of weeks ago)
bought wallets
because they are that cute.
One of the great things about the wallets
is that they perfectly fit
paper money
perfectly
and
each one
is beautifully uniquely different
and
she cleverly makes slots for cards brilliantly.
It would make her happy!

Signs of Spring!
Almost all our snow is gone!
I get so excited when I see real flowers bloom in our garden!
We really do have some amazing views from our garden, house, or wherever you look.
I worked in the garden yesterday.
I loved the sun peaking through the clouds.
I even worked through sprinkles of snow.
Later in the day there was amazing snow storms.
Almost blizzard like.
Again and again.
Then the sun shined again.
Spring.

Scipio, Utah.
A week and a half ago
we went to St. George for a cute niece's wedding.
I don't know what I was thinking
but I didn't have my camera with me much.
On our way home
we stopped in Scipio
and they have a small petting zoo.
Yes.
That is a baby zebra.
A zebra!
Yes.
That is a baby zebra.
A zebra!
In Scipio.

Timpanogos Gem & Mineral Show. 52nd Annual Spring Parade of Gems.
I love how they called it Spring Parade of Gems.
Priceless.
Davis was so excited to go to the gem and mineral show.
There was a silly man that walked around in fake dinosaur bones
and the dinosaur sometimes tried to eat the heads of little kids.
So watch for that.
Davis LOVED gold panning (cost $3)
of course.
He found a few gold flakes.
He LOVED looking for Topaz ($1).
He found quite a few little gems.
Daughter #2 met us there
and helped Davis look for Topaz.
There were tons of displays.
Dealers and demonstrations.
Grab bags, books,
lots of rock sales.
Lots of stuff.
Free Admission.
Runs through Sunday.

21 weeks and sick. But happy.
I had just given her a nebulizer treatment
(I got to babysit this morning)
then changed her cute little outfit.
She was at her happiest here.
She has been one sick little girl.
She had croup.
Has Brochiolitis and an ear infection.
Her cute parents are taking such good care of her.
Sweet little girl.
