Happy Thanksgiving!
The only Thanksgiving decorations I had
was this cute Turkey pillow I made years ago.
I saw this here.
That Aunt Peaches is so creative!
I thought, hey, I could do that!
I changed it just a little bit.
And taped them to some string I already had.
I saw this here.
But I liked the watercolor on the feathers so much
that I thought I'd watercolor the banner.
So I did.
It's also made of paper and I just taped it
to the same kind of string.
It'll do.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Sometimes a girl just needs two of something...
That sweet adorable little girl
sometimes wants two "binkies"
(I never called pacifiers
anything other than a pacifier
but this little girl
actually calls them
"ginky"
and it's adorable).
Here are some other things I loved:
A genius simple idea for Thanksgiving.
A genius simple banner for Thanksgiving.
Genius cardboard projects.
Love much of this.
(found a new blog through
A beautiful mess---
a blog you must follow)!
that will make you fall in love
with a blob of sand
and a blob of snow.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Getting Slammed.
We tend to get the lake effect
when it comes to rain and snow
in our little corner and shelf of the valley.
What were we thinking when we moved here?
It certainly wasn't snow.

Yesterday and Today!
Yesterday was incredibly lovely!
No wonder!
Look what was brewing!
Here are some other things I loved:
makes me want to go out and buy
an old vintage trailer!
This new (to me)
blog is darling!
These photos of flor tiles
make me want to go get me some flor tiles!
Elections have come and gone.
I have been disheartened
by a few peoples reaction because
"their" candidate won
(and what a few people stated
would happen if
the other candidate won
and how a few people categorized
many people that voted for the "other guy").
This is why this reaction,
by Aunt Peaches,
by Aunt Peaches,
the "day after"
was such a breath of fresh air.
I will pray for whomever is the POTUS
and I don't feel the need to move to another country
if the person isn't who I voted for.
I can be friends with people that don't
share the same political, religious, decorating and/or
how you prefer your eggs in the morning, views.
I admire people who can be kind and level headed
no matter their political leanings.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Piano wall painted.
Years and years ago I painted this wall green.
I liked it then.
But I have tired of it.
We recently got new carpet
(the first time in the twelve years we've lived here
and we can only guess how much older that carpet was!
And we do think it was at least 20 years old,
if not much older than that.
Ewww).
I decided I wanted to paint
that piano wall since
that piano is heavy and it had to be moved
for the carpet
and we are not likely to move it again for years and years.
It's a boring white-ish paint
but it was left over from our flood repair for downstairs
and I am going for a calmer vibe.
So grateful for new carpet
and completed paint project!!!
and completed paint project!!!
It'll do.
