Right before
we left this morning

(while we were getting situated
in the truck and
getting ready
to take Davis to school)

I plugged in my i-pod

and first played 

"Just the way you are".

Davis said,

"Not that song again,

it's getting a little annoying."

I ignored him and played it anyway.

We were both quiet

throughout the song.

Right after it was over

he said,

"That is really sweet".

And smiled.
