You need to watch this beautiful and touching video, "My New Life"

Stephanie Nielson writes the sweet blog, The Nie Nie Dialogues.
I didn't find the blog till after the accident but I have read most of her blog since she started.
She has always written with such warmth and love.
She was even on Oprah.
She is that amazing.
I admire her so much.
This video is so beautiful.
What an amazing person.
I am so touched by her example as a person, wife and mother.
What an inspiration she is to me.
Absolutely beautiful.

Flowers.

I took some pictures of these beautiful flowers that Jeff sent to me.
There's rice on the table if you look close enough.
Ewww.
But look how cute the cat is.

The flowers are for Mother's Day.
Beautiful flowers.
I cleaned the table and took a few more pictures.
The morning sun was barely coming over the mountains.
Boy, do I need to clean my windows.

Sigh...

I went to Jeff's work to pick him up for lunch.
They had these beautiful trees dripping with puffy pink blossoms.
Gorgeous.
The clouds were white billowy pillows.
Breathtaking.
The mountains, majestic with their tops white with snow.
Spectacular.

Bench, painted and repurposed.

I painted the bench last month.
I love that light from Ikea.
I love that picture from Ikea.
It is in our basement.
Painted concrete walls and floor.
We use the room as a tv room and I love it anyway.
Unfinished and everything.

Cinco de Mayo

I took these pictures while walking around our garden (I've noticed that British people always call it a garden....sounds so much better than a yard).

We have amazing views!
Lilacs almost ready to bloom!
Addie had to get in there somewhere.

Oh, what a beautiful day!

Yesterday was Star Wars Day.
May the Fourth be with you!

That just cracks me up!

Three of these things belong together....Three of these things are kind of the same...

I have about 6 different pairs of this style of shoe.
They are cheap, cute and comfy.

It's official.
Something is wrong with my brain.

You are seeing correctly.
This is exactly what I saw last night as I was taking off my shoes.
After going with my family to two stores and a yogurt shop (maybe I wore them all day---I really don't know---I take my shoes off and put them on many times during the day)!

It made me laugh out loud!

Lessons learned:

Don't leave three pairs of shoes close to the bed.
Pay attention when putting on shoes (or clothes, for that matter----who knows what I've been wearing).
Get eyes checked (actually it wasn't that long ago and other than needing reading glasses, my eyes are pretty good--maybe I really do need an MRI).
No one pays attention to what I wear, so it really doesn't matter any way!

This opens up so many possibilities!

Reminders.

These great pictures were taken by Britni (who by the way is now in Alaska).

I attended some of Women's Conference on Thursday and Friday. Both days were busy and I had to be home early for my family. The little I did attend was great and I was able to spend some time with my dear friend, Susan (we met while we both lived in Florida and now we both live in Utah).

Women's Conference is good for many things and one of them is being reminded of what is important in life. Here are just a few gems:

Just to be, is a blessing.
Just to live, is holy.
Rabi Heschel (he didn't speak at the Conference--someone quoted him)

If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.
Sir Thomas Aquinas (some say it is a saying from Jesus---beautiful--no matter where it is from)

A light heart lives long.
Shakespeare

Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think."
Horace (Roman Poet 65 bc-8 bc)

Now, I'm off to get ready for the day and hopefully paint up a storm!

Carpe diem!
