Just so you know...

1. I made a few flowers.
I want to make some more
and I want to make other things too.
I want to be more creative
but it's not always easy
or convenient.

2. I emptied a shelf in an old dresser
and filled a garbage bag.
It was heavy.
Boy, that felt good.

3. Spring break is this week.
I wish we could go somewhere fun.
It will have to be somewhere close
(we may go treasure hunting
even if it's in our own back yard).
Husband only has so many vacation days
and this summer he will be taking a week
to go with our youngest son for a scout camp out.
Then there is Christmas.
Priorities
aren't always easy.

4.  I know that I am not perfect.
I've never met a perfect person.
Ever.
"Assert your right to make a few mistakes.
If people can't accept your imperfections,
that's their fault."
~Dr. David M. Burns
I try to do better every day
and every day I come up short.
There's always tomorrow.

5. I had a mammogram a week and a half ago.
I am 45, after all.
This morning, I had an ultrasound to check
a new lump and a couple of swollen lymph nodes.
Luckily,
the doctor said they all look good
and just come back in a year
for a routine mammogram.
What a relief
of some of the anxiety I feel.
Yes.
I have issues.
Who doesn't have some thing
or things
they have going on?

"This is my wish for you:
Comfort on difficult days,
smiles when sadness intrudes,
rainbows to follow the clouds,
laughter to kiss your lips,
sunsets to warm your heart,
hugs when spirits sag,
beauty for your eyes to see,
friendships to brighten your being,
faith so that you can believe,
confidence for when you doubt,
courage to know yourself,
patience to accept the truth,
Love to complete your life."

I mean that for everyone.

Well.
Maybe not Gaddafi
(you belong in prison)
or murderers
or other very evil people.

I really do wish the best for you.

Really.

Spring breaks at home can be quite fun...sometimes there is less laundry involved too! Have a splendid week. Your felt flowers are lovely.
