Marriage is hard work.

"Marriage means commitment. Of course, so does insanity."

Lest one think that marriage is just like running through a field of daffodils after reading my post yesterday, I will clarify and admit readily that marriage takes a lot of work and can be hard at times.

"I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life." Rita Rudner

"A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person"  Mignon McLaughlin, The Second Neurotic's Notebook, 1966

"In every marriage more than a week old, there are grounds for divorce. The trick is to find, and continue to find, grounds for marriage." Robert Anderson, Solitaire & Double Solitaire

"A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year."  Paul Sweeney

"In a time when nothing is more certain than change, the commitment of two people to one another has become difficult and rare. Yet, by its scarcity, the beauty and value of this exchange have only been enhanced."  Robert Sexton

I'll take the beauty and value of commitment and tolerate the insanity.

This is so true! I loved this post! I'm still considered a newly wed lol as my mom says anyways,But we have been together for 4 years and lived together for most of that 4 years so really it feels like we've been married for awhile!
