A few thoughts on being a Mother...

Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.---Elizabeth Stone
Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.---Lin Yutang
While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.---Angela Schwindt
The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him."
I absolutely adore my children! I hope they know that!
"One thing they never tell you about child raising is that for the rest of your life, at the drop of a hat, you are expected to know your child's name and how old he or she is."---Erma Bombeck
Grown don't mean nothing to a mother. A child is a child. They get bigger, older, but grown? What's that suppose to mean? In my heart it don't mean a thing.---Toni Morrison, Beloved, 1987

Cheryl, that is a beautiful tribute to being a Mother. I loved all your quotes, especially the last. Erma's brought a smile, like you I have four kids and there are times I look at them and have to remind myself of all the details. Heaven help us if I am not quick on that one!

Thanks for your comment on my post yesterday. Very thoughtful of you :)
